ACT Mental Mapping Model

Just like most other NLP newbies, in my early years of learning NLP, I would struggle to figure out which technique to be used for what kind of issues that Clients brought. Whilst these crude efforts for ‘match-making’ would often leave me confused and overwhelmed, I wondered ‘surely, there must be a simple way. Perhaps a simple master-formula that can easily decode mental-emotional issues that people face?’

Triggered by this idea, over the years, after observing and experimenting with various NLP techniques, I developed the ACT Mental Mapping model that brings amazing simplicity in mapping most mental-emotional issues people face. Based on original research, the ACT model has shown consistent results for issues such as schizophrenia, depression, OCD, addictions, procrastination, regret, guilt, conflicts, confusion, trauma, anxiety, phobia, anger, fear, etc.

Similarly, you can even map positive traits such as habits, taking actions, goal planning, goal achieving, meditation, hypnosis, pragmatic, happiness, etc to name a few, using this model.

Think of a 3-dimensional glass box within which you can visualize little balls placed in different locations, each ball (and its position) representing a specific mental state of a person. If you want to change their mental state, you just have to shift the ball to a different location and voila, you will get a different outcome now !! Sounds interesting?

The ACT model helps practitioners (and anyone), diagnose issues Clients (or they) are going through. For example: When planning goals is not leading to achieving them, or taking actions, the ACT Model reveals why so and the remedial steps.

The ACT model helps Practitioners to easily chart out the path they need to take their client through to get them to the desired state. For example: How do you take someone experiencing depression, to being happy? The ACT Model will show the best path.

At the end of this session you will have experienced a new way of mapping mental health issues of Clients and learnt simple ways to get them out of the most challenging issues.
